More About The Women’s Auxiliary

Our mission is provide support to St. Edmond’s Home for Children


Today we have over 120 members. Our fund raising efforts are twice yearly: The Love Bond appeal in February and our Cup Day event in the fall. In addition to our financial support the Auxiliary hosts the annual children’s Christmas party and supports multiple in-home efforts to be sure that all of our children’s needs are met.

Aside from our monthly operational support, and our underwriting of the Music Therapy program, our funds have allowed for the completion of the following capital improvements:

  • - Purchased and Renovated Community Home - St. Philomena Cottage
  • - Renovations included New Roof, Bathroom with Specialty Tub and Shower, new Ceiling Lift System, new Walkway and Wheelchair Elevator
  • - Purchased two new Handicap-Accessible Vans
  • - Renovation of the Chapel
  • - New Front Entrance with New Portico
  • - Recumbent Bathing System
  • - Construction of 10,500 sq. ft Multi-Purpose Room (Great Room)
  • - Renovation of the Playrooms and Hallways
  • - Complete Renovation of the Therapeutic Pool
  • - Renovation of the Front Reception Area and Main Hallway
  • - Installation of a Special Care Unit
  • - Construction of a Multi-Sensory Garden and Prayer Garden
  • - New Furniture and Cheerful Redecoration of the Children’s Bedrooms
  • - Handicap accessible bus
